Thank you for the link, Philip; yes, I enjoy her posts as well. I had read a mystery book from T. Davis Bunn, The Book of Hours, which was pretty fascinating. This link between hours and prayers.

For me the seasonal liturgy, and 'customs' (Kristin again) begins to chime more with the old ways, the ties with the moon and the solar year, the accumulation and dwindling of light and warmth, the nature and the natures we share.
